Catalyst Choices is a social enterprise, trading for a primarily social purpose as opposed to for profit.

Who we are

Catalyst Choices launched on 1st February 2015 having ‘spun out’ of Warrington Borough Council with the aim of securing a sustainable future for our services and the customers we support.  We are now established as an independent Community Interest Company.

Catalyst Choices is large enough to provide a wide range of varied and quality services, but not too big or remote to care, ensuring that the interest of the communities we serve, customers and staff are at the heart of everything we do.

We are committed to providing high quality, flexible services. Catalyst Choices has dedicated teams who are passionate about the work they do and they people they support.

Well trained and knowledgeable staff bring a wealth of experience of working with people with varying needs.

With excellent facilities across our services, our aim is to give our customers the best possible experience as well as involving them in service developments to deliver a value for money service.

Catalyst Choices is keen to develop, strengthen and continuously improve what we do.

As an employer, we are committed to celebrating and seeking diversity in all its form throughout our organisation.

What we do

  • Catalyst Home
    Community Support

Living support for adults with learning disabilities and older people.

Catalyst Home offers community based support services for adults with learning disabilities and older people. Our supported living teams provide 24 hour support to small groups of tenants in their own home and domiciliary and housing support in our extracare schemes.

Our tenants are supported to maintain and learn new skills as well as trying out new experiences as active participants of their community. All our customers receive an individual package of support based on their needs, interests and aspirations.

  • Catalyst Active
    Day care and support

Provides specialist centre and community based opportunities for adults with learning and physical disabilities.

Catalyst Active aims to challenge common misconceptions about people with learning and physical disabilities, enabling participation and access to the same opportunities available to everyone else.

Our community locations are right in the heart of local communities, operating from sport and leisure centres, community hubs, social clubs and in partnership with local voluntary groups and education/vocational providers. From these locations, we are able to offer a wide range of interesting, educational, vocational and employment activities. For people who have multiple and complex needs, our main centre at Gorse Covert has specialist, modern facilities.

  • Catalyst Lives
    Living Support

Provides community based support including supported living options and community based day care.

Catalyst Lives provides living support in three areas – residential and short break support, specialist supported tenancies and shared lives. Skilled teams have developed key relationships of understanding and trust with individuals and their family carers.

Supported tenancies teams enable people living in their own homes to maintain and learn new skills as well as pursuing interests and new experiences they choose.
